Children of WILLIAM WHITEHEAD and FRANCIS POPE are:
(On 1786 Census CC NC, on Record from 1778 Tax Rcds from 1780-1788 CC NC, also
sold provisions to the military to support the Rev War, making him a patriot. Proven Migration: Granville NC to 1778, Caswell Co NC 1778 to 1788, Laurens Co SC aft. 1788-1805.
Wm Whitehead family was on the 1790 and 1800 census for Laurens. Wm died 1805, left Estate/Will, now Whitehead son in Laurens Co after 1800 census, not sure if
the Daughters of Wm Whitehead were still in Lauren's Co SC... James Strain witnessed the Will, left several households from Wm on Cain Creek in Laurens, 1800 census,
this would have been James Jr, as Sr died 1786.  When researching Jane & Sarah, check for both under Strain & Alverson, WHY? When James Strain died in abt 1813,
his wife was listed as JANE, meaning, possibly, that Wm Whitehead gave each the wrong surname on his Will... something to keep in mind.

(Note: Children listed in order on the "Original Will", all transcripts are incorrect)

Death Notice in Local Paper

Vincent Lee Glover was the second of five children born to John and Harriet E. Glover, and came into their home life, Saturday, August 29, 1868, in the town of Clayton, Indiana.  In his thirteenth year he, with the family of his parents, emigrated westward locating first at Carthage, where they remained some five years; then to Montana, Kansas, and thence to Oklahoma City, OKLA.; but in 1891 they returned to Clayton where the family home was again reestablished.

In 1894 he married Miss Rosa Whitehead, the ceremony being performed at Marshall, ILL.  They set up to housekeeping in Clayton and since then their home has been either in or near Clayton.

To this union was born five children, as follows:  Chester Arthur, who passed away in 1913;  Verlin Lee, of Fairmount, In.;  Hubert Kenneth, who was in the army at San Francisco when last heard from;  Lawrence Leslie, now with Marines somewhere in China, and Wilbur Glover, of Wabash.

While in Girard, Kan., Vincent L. Glover was received into the fellowship of the Christian Chruch, there. In 1908 he transferred his membership to the Baptist church, of Clayton, where it has since remained.

Mr. Glover first became a telegrapher but did not practice it long.  He then took up the trade of plasterer and became an expert in that line.

In his fraternal relations he was initiated into the Independent Order of Odd Fellow, December 22, 1898, and was made a Master Mason on Dec. 17, 1901.

Mr. Glover's health had been gradually declining for several years.  Some three years ago he was in such a condition that he could perform no manual labor and he went to the Odd Fellow's home, at Greensburg Co., and remained there until death came to his relief, Tuesday, March 11, 1930.  His earthly career is measured by 61 years, 6 months and 12 days.  He is survived by four sons previously named; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Hayworth, of Clayton, and Mrs. Flavius B. Cooper, of Indianapolis; one half-brother, Albert K. East, of Clayton; and one granddaughter, Miss Helen Louise Glover, of Fairmount.

The funeral was held at the Baptist church, Thursday afternoon, with interment in the Clayton cemetery.
