Misc. Notes:

The relationship of Lucy & John S is not conclusive, we
have no concret evidence that this Lucy is the daughter of
William White.  The age matches with Wm's daughter Lucy,
she is buried in a cemetery, with what could be her sisters,
Uncles & Aunts.  The circumstantial evidence is heavy in
favor of, this being the daughter of our Wm. White, but
needs more reserach.  After Wm's death his children moved
to Spartanburg, by 1840.

Buried at Cedar Springs Baptist Cem Spartanburg Co SC
are possibly the sisters of Lucy; Susan White Coggins &
Jane White Coggin, maybe, Elizabeth White?, Uncle Robert
White Jr, and aunts, Susan & Mary White, wives of Robt. Jr.
Not to mention numerous other relatives from their marriages.

Lucy mentioned in Family Letter - 187?'s:

In a Family Letter dated March 17, 187?'s
From Jason Wiley Murphy to his sister Edy Jackson:

"...Father White lives his upper plantation near Thompson's cross roads is well. Cousin Ginna Coggins live at the same place. Sally & Susan lives at the old place. Backael? at the Village. Betsy married Lipskum lives on Jocher Creek has no children. Wm in Georgia.
Lucy dedd. Samuel in Alabama. Susan has one son married. Backael two daughters, Lucy one. I dont know how many Ginny has married..."

==============================
Note from Mike:
LUCY is mentioned above, DEDD (Dead)... she died in 1859...
Backael is Rachel White, Father White is Robert White Jr., Wiley married
his daughter and first cousin Nancy White.  Ginna is Jane, Sally is Sarah
and Susan, Betsy married Lipskum is Elizabeth White, William and Samuel
are both mentioned.  James White is not mentioned by Wiley, but was not
forgotten in Isaac P Murphy's letter, Wiley's oldest brother. They must have
forgotten him he was living in Union Co 1850, and is lost afterwards. The letters
are a family treasure, in naming the children of Wm & Elizabeth White. There
are a few errors, Samuel moved to Hart Co GA, not Alabama. Wm moved to
GA, I have not found him after Union Co, since the letter said he moved to GA,
it might be that he was the one who moved to Alabama???  Future research.

Comments:

John S Barnett is not listed in this neighborhood
in 1840, I suspect he living at home.
One Barnett, in the above census, is old enough to be
his father, Jesse Barnett, and one his aunt, Frances, at this
time, we do not know this family structure with any
Certainty,  in 1850 John is living next door to Frances
and a few doors from Jesse, I believe this is his family.

This census, indicates 2 Barnett families with a child between
John S's age range, Jesse Barnett, and if Javan Barnett is
John's brother, there is another male between 20-30 in
Javan's household, as John S, was born 1819.

Frances Barnett is the daughter of Col Henry White 1740-1787,
whose wife was Frances Barnette 1741-1784.
She married 1st Charles James Jr. 1770-1813, in 1798, and,
2nd married Micajah C Barnett Sr., (d. 1837), who had sons
                   Micajah Jr. b. 24 May 1818, & Jesse & Javan.

The 'Will' of Micajah Sr., doesn't mention a John Barnett,
However, Micajah Sr., administered a Will of Lucy Barnett,
suspect his sister, and she had a son John Barnett!  However
John S, wasn't born yet, at the time of this Will admistration,
leading me to believe that John is a son of Jesse or one of the
other children of Micajah Sr., 2 sons were deceased, Richard
and Lewis, thus he could be a nephew living in the care of
Jesse etc... thus, he may be a 1st cousin of Javan & Jesse, or son,
living next door to either his Aunt or Grandma, Frances in 1850?
John S is 21yrs old in 1840.  Still investigating...
