            as a witness.

NOTE FROM MIKE:
Was this land from a GRANT? Was this Mildred Whitehead White's land from inheritance?
Was this Robert White Jr?  he was 30 in 1814... Am trying to obtain a deed book from Laurens Co, hopefully, I can find when the property was bought... More to come...

NOTE:  I believe this is CANE Creek not CAIN, couldn't find a Cain..

NOTE:  This William White is probably, Robert Sr's son, & Lewis Rhodes married Mary "Polly" White, daughter of Robert Sr.

NOTE:  This deed is significant, as it may help is determining Robt Sr's, connection to the
Wm Whitehead family, Mr Nicholls and Shaw above, were Estate Adm's for Wm.
Whitehead, decd., 1805, this Estate was still active 1825, as an admin. bond was
issued against it.  Milla Whitehead, dau. of Wm was listed as Mille WHITE on his Will.
This William & a Robert White lived together in Caswell Co NC, the Robt White left
there in 1787 followed by this Wm Whitehead in 1788, there may be a connection.
It is possible, that the 1815 sell to the above mentioned, may have been the inherited
land Milla White recieved in 1805 and Robt White is selling it back to the Estate Adm's,
who MAYBE trying to keep this Land in the Whitehead family - THEORY, hopefully
when I receive the a copy of the original deed, it may come to light... more to come...

DEED 17  (Robert and Moses?)

Provided by: Pat Boone
Source:  Family Researcher Mary White Coppage
in letter to Sue B. Harris, 7 Jun 1981.
(Sue, is related to another Robert White, not yet proven to be related to our lineage)
Source comment: At present I do not have a copy or ref to this deed.

"1829 - Moses White and Robert White of Union County and Spartanburg districts, to William P. Davidson of Union District, 143 acres, Mary White, Wife of Moses released dower".

NOTE:  Could this Moses be related to our Robert? I've also listed this Deed on
the 'OTHER WHITE's Deed and Doc page, because of the questionable
relationship.  Here's a point of interest, this sale was in 1829, on Sat 23 May
1829,  Robert and 2nd wife Elizabeth, were dismissed from the Lower Fair
Forest Church, and received at the Cedar Springs Baptist Church on 27 Jun
1829, where Robert White Jr, his son, was a member, Robert Sr was 86 yrs old.

NOTES:  At the time of this sale, Robert White Sr was 86 yrs old, and in the process of moving from Union County to Spartanburg County. The JAMES WHITE listed here, would have to be William White's son, b.abt1803 d.unk. The only other JAMES, I could find, was Benjamin F. White's son, who was born 1847. Robert signed this deed by MARK, all others were signed by signature.
